With over 30 years’ experience in the PR industry, cutting her teeth in entertainment publicity for ITV and the BBC before moving into the leisure, lifestyle and food sectors, Rachel is passionate about the value that strategic communications brings to businesses.  Strong writing, storytelling, and just good old-fashioned perseverance, as well as an acute attention to detail continue to be the backbone of her career. She founded Silver Pear in 2020 and is committed to creating brilliant PR people to future proof the profession.

Having begun her career at the heart of leisure, lifestyle and F&B, Jen has since garnered experience across the board, creating personalised strategies and raising client profiles using the power of the written word. With the onset of digital, she hasn’t shied away from learning new skills and embracing new technologies, ensuring she is bringing her clients with her on the journey. Jen is very excited to see what the future holds for our industry!

She has gained a wealth of experience after strategically devising, managing and executing multiple campaigns and retained PR activity for a variety of high-profile attractions in the leisure sector, alongside leading restaurant brands.

After 20 years as a journalist, Matt began his career in attractions PR in 2021, working with a variety of high end brands including stately homes, five-star hotels and one of the UK’s leading Christmas light trail producers. He oversaw the successful launch of a £3m restaurant in 2023 and has secured national television and press coverage for numerous attractions. Matt has also produced compelling PR campaigns for wildlife parks, theme parks, outdoor theatre productions, holiday parks and retail centres.

Jaimie works with Silver Pear Communications part-time, getting stuck in with stories and media outreach. Experienced in PR communications in the attractions sector she has previously worked on telling the stories of world heritage sites, theme parks and music festivals. Forming good relationships with media contacts and keeping to date with trending news helps Jaimie create copy that speaks to editors, journalists and their audiences.
